Private Journeyman League

During our game time last night (01/04/15), we decided that it would be a blast to do our own personal Journeyman league. We plan to expand the timetable to fit the needs of our busy lives. The overall idea we have is fantastic! Here is what we came up with, and keep in mind that we are doing this more as a friendly competition.

Our league will actually last for 12 weeks. We will use every other week as a hobby week and the alternate weeks for games. It should help all of us get into the swing of assembling and painting our models through the coming year. We are also playing something that we don’t have already, but keeping with the batleboxes or alts that are provided in the 2015 Journeyman league document.

Here is the faction breakdown:

  • Ray – Cygnar with the standard battlebox.
  • Tyler – Skorne with the Holiday Bundle Battlebox
  • Patton – Blindwater Congregation with the Barnabas Battlebox.
  • Eric – Searforge with the Gorten Battlebox.

If they will, I will get each of the other participants to write up a small blog entry each week to give a bit of insight into their goals, strategy, and play experiences.

Constance Blaize, Knight of the Prophet

I am not totally sure how this will go for me, but I am looking forward to the challenge. I have never really played Cygnar; Maybe a game or two here or there, but I never thought them to be my play style. My goal is to build to a Constance Blaize, Knight of the Prophet list so I can use Galiant with her and get some Precursor Knights painted. Might even go with a theme force on this, but that requires more Precursor Knights than I currently have. So, we will see.

Besides assembling the models, I do hope to have a decent color scheme chosen for the new fledgling army. I am considering a metalic black armor with blue highlight with a white and indigo/amethyst cloth. I also want the models to end out multiracial in skintones to get some practice with a variety of skintones and improve my overall painting quality.
